Overview

Positioned to deliver long-term value to shareholders, the Bank of America is located in New York. This organization works with a common purpose to help make financial lives better by connecting clients and communities to the resource they need to be successful. An experienced hand in supplying quality mobility products, DAY Elevator & Lift assisted this bank with the installation of a wall-mounted Savaria Delta inclined platform lift that improved the building’s wheelchair accessibility.

The Challenge

This client contacted us as they needed help to improve wheelchair access to the ATM area for staff and public use. As it was a very high profile Madison Avenue storefront exposure, we had to do something low profile to integrate with the existing architectural design and aesthetics.

The Solution

Our team of technicians evaluated the building’s design and installed a wall-mounted Savaria Delta inclined platform lift that would fold up against the wall when not in use and preserve space on the staircase.

Suitable for home or commercial applications, this lift is ideal for environments where an elevator or vertical lift cannot be easily accommodated. This system is battery-powered, allowing it to operate through a power failure. Charging stations at the top and bottom ensure that the lift is always ready to go. It has reliable safety features such as an obstruction sensor system on the platform, a non-skid platform with side safety flaps, an over-speed governor, a manual lowering device, keyed access for call stations, and an emergency stop button.
