An award winning bakery shop that offers wide array of desserts, pastries, and breakfast and lunch eats, New Jersey based Swiss Chalet Bakery needed a platform lift for wheelchair access to their basement and deliveries. DAY Elevator & Lift met their requirement by successfully installing Savaria’s Prolift Vertical Platform Lift for this bakeshop.
ADA recommends that for the people with disabilities, to participate in the everyday activities in their communities, must have easy access to the goods and services provided by businesses. This lack of accessibility makes it impossible for many people to take part in everyday activities such as going to work, eating in a restaurant or shopping in a store. In order to abide by ADA guidelines, Swiss Chalet Bakery wanted to improve wheelchair access to their basement & deliveries.
Swiss Chalet Bakery approached DAY for an ADA-compliant accessibility solution. After evaluating the client’s site and requirements, DAY recommended installation of a Savaria Prolift Vertical Platform lift (VPL). This ADA-compliant lift operates with simple-to-use constant pressure from a hydraulic drive and delivers a smooth and quiet ride.
